Today, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations with Tajikistan, an important friend and partner in Central Asia.

We are pleased to be one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations and open an embassy after Tajikistan declared its independence. Having strong relations based on deep-rooted historical and cultural ties between our peoples, Türkiye has always stood by Tajikistan also during most difficult times.

In addition to the robust steps taken in the last three decades, the recent momentum in our bilateral relations in almost every field as well as our cooperation on regional and international issues, have served not only the common interests and well-being of our countries and peoples but also contributed to the stability and prosperity of our region. Today, our countries pursue similar policies on many issues concerning regional and global peace and prosperity, and mutually support each other in international and regional organizations.

In the period ahead, mutual steps to be taken in trade, investments, culture, defense and many others fields will elevate our multidirectional cooperation to higher levels.

On this auspicious day marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations, we reiterate our will to further develop our relations and cooperation with Tajikistan in all fields.
