Press Release Regarding the Statements of Panos Kammenos, Minister of National Defence of Greece

We return verbatim the statement uttered against the President of Turkey H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on 1 December by the Minister of National Defense of Greece, whom we know to lack the capacity of assessing and expressing developments with a common sense.

The attitude of the Minister of National Defense, who lost his sense of judgment in such a way as to award recently the EOKA-affiliated organizations, which were involved in acts of violence and terrorism in Cyprus, damages the cooperation efforts we have tried to develop between the two countries.

We once again call upon the Defense Minister Kammenos to avoid similar statements and actions from now on by acting in compliance with state responsibility and seriousness.
